I hope this backpacking tent review can help you when choosing what tent to buy.

We all have different ways to relax. Wilderness backpacking, high into the mountains, is mine. On high altitude, I have to be prepared for harsh weather. I definitely need a strong and reliable tent that can withstand strong wind and heavy rain. Backpacking in the mountains also mean that the weight is critical.

Ultra-light solo tent

backpacking tent review
My favorite tent is an ultra-light solo tent. Weight 1.6 kg/3 lbs 8 oz.

Double wall construction. The inner tent is made of breathable material to minimize condensation. The outer shell is made from a waterproof fabric to keep out rain and wind. Three vents, two at the ends of the tent and one high up at the entrance give sufficient ventilation.

Pitching

The linked inner and outer tents allow simultaneous pitching. This fact, plus it's only a single pole to handle, make it very fast and easy to pitch, even in rough conditions. Ten pegs keep the tent anchored to the ground.

Space

An ultra-light solo tent doesn't offer you a lot of space. However, if well constructed and with a vestibule (entrance) that's large enough for your backpacking gear you will have the comfort you need to have a great time in the wilderness.
