My many backpacking trips during the last 30 years have given me many unforgettable moments and, lucky me, still there are many more fantastic places to visit and spectacular views to be seen.
Careful preparation
Backpacking can be a tremendously rewarding if you're prepared. When allocating your budget, a good pair of hunting boots or work boots should be one of your highest priorities. They might be expensive, but they're worth it. And, if you decide at a later date that backpacking isn't for you, you can still use them for other purposes.
